The Impact of Globalisation on Individuals, Communites and Countries
Introduction
Globalisation has affected many people around the world. Many cultures have losted while world trade has flourishs. Countries have become closer and the wrold is more connected. Globalisation is expanding and growing and it has had a different impact on each person, community and country.
Individuals
Globalisation has affected indiviuals by the way they dress, eat and spend their money. Most people would look at photo to the left and insantly say "the simpsons". The simpsons is a hugly successful TV, shown in over 70 countries and translated into 20 different countries. Big brands have taken over indivuals and have made everyone the same. However it also a good thing has indivuals can talk family members on the other side of the world by just pressing a button. Indibuals can now all around world and it doesn't take more than 24 hours. So Individuals have been affected in good and bad ways.
Communites
Globalisation has also had impact on communites. With many TNC companies advertising in local communites it can become very temtating to buy lots of these products. If you look at photo to the left you can see that even your waiting for your bus you are surrond by ads convicing that their food is the best. TNC are such big companies that they sometimes can force local bussiness close down due to the TNC having such a big international name. Also TNCs can put out local community bussiness because TNCs are known worldwide.
Countries
Countries are probably the most influenced by globalisation. One of the main factors is global trade. Countries like china can make goods at a much lower price which impacks upon countries with much higher cost of labour like Australia. Resulting in unemployment and lost of skills. Globalsiation also brings nations together and creates a better world. Globalisation allows the leaders of all countries to meet and discuss global issues. Countries can discuss issiues such as global warming, refugees and the environment. Globalisation has helped the world become a more connected and safer place to live in.
